Here is my résumé! Although it can only say so much, some more thoughts are below!
To talk more about my professional background, it's important to go back to my time in high school which has a lot of influence into what I'm doing today. In high school I was able to learn more about myself and interests such as video editing, community service, leadership, and competition.
I studied film in University because I was known as the "video guy" for a decent amount of my time in high school. I loved having video projects for classes as well as filming my classmates' dance proposal videos or advertisements for school events. As I kept it up I decided to learn more about the art. As time went on in college I realized I didn't want to join the film industry, but I wanted to gain the skills as I believe in today's age almost any industry could use someone who understands how videos can be useful for an organization. I'm glad that I've been able to keep making more content in a professional setting because of the skills I learned.
When it comes to community service, I've volunteered since I was Freshmen in Key Club. I was always happy to learn more about the community around me as well as make an impact to help those around me. This is a big reason why I'm currently in the non-profit industry as it's the industry where I feel like I can get involved with my community more as well as be a part of an organization that has a goal to make other people's lives better.
Leadership for me is something that became natural. I ended up in student government in high school to the point that I was Vice President by my senior year. I would also get leadership roles in other extracurriculars I did, but it always came naturally. I never really had a goal to gain new titles to look better for whatever things I apply to. I just genuinely liked doing what I liked while also having good relationship with the people I worked around.
Whether or not I have a leadership role at a job, I've been told I show the qualities of a good leader. I'm proud of this as I don't believe leadership comes from a title, but from your own actions. If I had to say why I believe I make a good leader, I think it would be because of how I work with the people around me. I always like to learn more about others to see what can benefit them and how I can learn from them as well. I'll always be working with different people in life and it's important for me to understand how to adapt how I work with others. I think having a work style like this also makes it more fun for me.
When it comes to competition I did sports in high school. Cross Country as well as Track & Field. I started running as I naturally got faster in P.E. class, but I enjoyed it a lot as it was a sport all about discipline and improvement. I always did like any other type of competition I could do that I even won a video commercial competition during my time in high school. Most of my competitive nature does come from after High School when I got interested into e-sports and fighting games. I like being competitive in the professional world as I believe it's another reason I always want to "be better" in my life.
With all of these things that I learned about myself, I was able to decide what kind of career I want.
Help out a non-profit organization where I can ideally still use my video skills, but my focus is on improving the organization become more efficient and reach new heights by being a good leader and being competitive so I will always want to improve.
lol it's as simple as that.
Truly though, a lot of people I have met in my life whether they are co-workers or friends influenced me a lot on what I wanted to do.
